Harry Brook had a stunning 2022. The England batting sensation turned heads with his batting performances and was a part of the England team that won the T20 World Cup in Australia.
Brook starred with the bat when England visited Pakistan last year for the T20 series and then the Test series. The T20I series was his first-ever international overseas trip and he put up a stunning show. He was the Man of the Series for scoring 238 runs at a strike rate of 163.01.
And when England returned to Pakistan for the Test series after winning the T20 World Cup, Harry Brook starred with the bat once again. He scored three centuries in the three-match series as England completed a historic whitewash over the hosts.
The stunning performances with the bat helped him get a lucrative IPL deal. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) spent a whopping Rs 13.25 crore to secure his services for the upcoming season of the league.
No Harry Brook in PSL:
While Harry Brook will be looking to light up the IPL in his maiden season with Sunrisers Hyderabad, he won’t be playing in the soon-to-start Pakistan Super League (PSL). Brook had a stunning outing in the last edition of the PSL.
Playing for Lahore Qalandars, the right-handed batsman had scored 264 runs for the champions of PSL 2022, including a century. His best performance in the previous edition of the PSL came when he smashed a 49-ball 102 against Islamabad United.
Missing Brook will be a huge blow for Lahore Qalandars as they will be looking to defend their title. The eighth season of PSL is scheduled to begin from February 13 with the clash between Qalandars and Multan Sultans at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
