NBA best bets today (Predictions for Jordan Poole, Thunder-Hawks, Sixers-Nets and more)

When there are 10 NBA games in action, you know we’re going to have plenty of plays to make in the NBA best bets column.

But first, I need to talk about last night, because we survived the sweat of all sweats in the Los Angeles Lakers-Los Angeles Clippers game.

Kawhi Leonard ended up hitting our UNDER 12.5 assists and rebounds prop, despite entering the fourth quarter with 12 exactly. As a basketball junkie, I don’t think I’ve ever rooted for a player to get pulled from a game like I did with Kawhi last night. But hey, it was a winner!

Now, I’m back with a four stack of plays for Wednesday, including a trendy little alternate line parlay since everyone seems to love doing those lately.

One prop, one parlay, one spread and one moneyline today… Where else are you getting this variety?

Tap in everyone, we’re staying hot:

NBA best bets record to date

  • NBA best bets record for 2022-23 season: 146-118-1 (+12.6208 units)

NBA best bets today

  • Jordan Poole OVER 21.5 Points (-125)
  • Oklahoma City Thunder Moneyline (+105) vs. Atlanta Hawks
  • Philadelphia 76ers -5 (-110) vs. Brooklyn Nets
  • Alternate Line Player Prop Parlay (+116)

Jordan Poole OVER 21.5 Points

We’re starting with my favorite prop bet of the night, looking at Golden State Warriors rising star Jordan Poole.

Poole has been on a scoring rampage as of late, scoring 22 or more points in 14 of his last 18 games and averaging 26.6 points per game over that stretch.

Yes, Steph Curry is back, but in seven games with Steph in the lineup, Poole is still averaging 24.6 points on 16.9 shots per game. The Warriors have also moved Poole into the starting lineup, a good sign for his usage going forward.

The key in this game will be pace, as the Warriors are first in the league in pace and Memphis clocks in at No. 3. This could turn into a track meet, and Poole is going to have plenty of chances to score if that is the case.

Oklahoma City Thunder Moneyline (+105) vs. Atlanta Hawks

When are we not betting the Oklahoma City Thunder as dogs?

OKC has gone 8-1-1 against the spread in its last 10 games, and the team has been ELITE as a home underdog this season.

The Thunder have covered the spread in nine of their 14 games as home dogs, winning eight of those games outright. I think they do that again on Wednesday against an Atlanta Hawks team that is just 2-6 against the spread as a road favorite this season.

All season long, the Thunder and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander have been undervalued despite posting the No. 13 net rating in the NBA. On the season, Atlanta is 22nd (!!) in net rating, yet it’s favored on the road?

The discrepancy is even bigger over the last 10 games, where OKC ranks third in the NBA in net rating.

Ride with this fun, young Thunder squad at home.

Philadelphia 76ers -5 (-110) vs. Brooklyn Nets

Full disclosure, Joel Embiid is questionable for this game and may not play, but I still love the Philadelphia 76ers regardless in this game against the Brooklyn Nets.

Philly has been solid as a home favorite this season, going 11-8-1 against the spread, and it beat the Nets by nine earlier this season when Kevin Durant was healthy. Oh, and Embiid, James Harden and Tyrese Maxey all missed that game for Philly…

Durant is out tonight, and Brooklyn is struggling offensively, ranking 24th in offensive rating over its last 10 games.

The Sixers? Well, they are 8-2 and have won five straight, posting the No. 4 offensive rating in the NBA. Lay the points with Philly in this matchup.

Alternate Line Player Prop Parlay (+116)

  • Ja Morant 20+ Points (-800)
  • Paolo Banchero 15+ Points (-700)
  • Dejounte Murray 15+ Points (-600)
  • Pascal Siakam 7+ Rebounds (-225)

Let’s break down this parlay rapid fire, leg by leg:

Ja Morant: Ja dropped 36 on Golden State on Christmas day, and is averaging 27.2 points per game. He’s put up 20 or more points in 33 of his 39 games this season.

Paolo Banchero: The Orlando Magic rookie has scored 15 or more points in 37 of his 40 games, including 11 of his last 12 matchups. He averages 20.7 points per game on the season.

Dejounte Murray: Murray has a tough matchup with OKC, but he’s put up 15+ points in 36 of his 43 games this season, averaging 20.9 points per game.

Pascal Siakam: Siakam is averaging 8.2 rebounds per game, grabbing at least seven in eight straight and in 31 of his 38 games this season.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
